About the role
The Role: As a Relationship Banker at Santander, you serve as a trusted advisor to customers, focusing on building strong, long-lasting relationships by understanding their financial needs and goals. This role involves providing tailored solutions for banking, lending, and investment products while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, identifying opportunities for cross-selling services, resolving issues, and educating them on digital banking tools.
- Proactively engage with customers to develop and maintain strong relationships, ensuring an elevated customer experience.
- Collaborate with other team members to drive branch sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the bank.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets by actively promoting and effectively cross-selling various banking products and services to existing and prospective customers.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk and fraud defense.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers in person, over the phone, or through digital channels.
- Manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ Years Experience selling products and/or services in an incentive-based environment OR 12+ Months Experience in Retail Banking sales, financial services sales or consultative relationship sales role in a related industry, with proven success in establishing new customers, deepening customer relationships and delivering results OR 12+ Months Demonstrated successful Santander experience related to the essential functions and responsibilities of the Relationship Banker role. District Executive, District Operations Manager and Region President endorsement of performance.
- Established relationship-building skills with a focus on customer experience and loyalty.
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others.
- Proven track record in sales and cross-selling products and services.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication, consultative, and influence skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to display a credible, trustworthy, and professional image at all times.
- Proficient in using digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement.
- Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to identify and escalate concerns of risk to appropriate channels.
- Computer proficiency and basic math skills.
Skills
- French or Spanish Bilingual (Preferred)
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education

Pay
Base pay range: $38,250.00 USD - $61,000.00 USD
