Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with customers.
  • Safely and accurately handle cash, coins, and negotiable instruments, following established cash-handling procedures, while simultaneously accurately processing a wide range of banking or teller transactions including deposits and withdrawals, adhering to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Open and service various types of checking and savings accounts, utilizing tools and resources to document all services completed on our customers’ accounts.
  • Hold conversations with customers to understand their current and future financial needs to identify opportunities to make product recommendations.
  • Provide exceptional service through our SWARM Banking approach, which involves greeting customers by name and greeting them as they walk into our lobbies.
  • Build the business by contributing toward monthly sales and service metrics.
  • Refer customers to specialized departments such as mortgage, wealth management and insurance.
  • Onboard our new customers through our follow-up routines to ensure the customer’s successful use of our products.
  • Utilize technology to educate customers on our full range of digital banking including but not limited to virtual tellers, our mobile app and safe online banking habits.
  • Be a point of contact for customers facing technical issues/difficulties with our digital banking tools.
  • Fill in as needed at various branches within the region to support daily operations.
  • Assist branches within the region during peak times, staff shortages, or special events.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 4 year degree strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of cash handling experience strongly preferred.
  • 2 years retail banking experience strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of customer service or sales experience required.

Qualifications That Would Be a Plus

  • Experience in opening accounts for Small Business customers.

Schedule

  • Hours will vary depending on location assigned.
  • Consistent weekend availability on Saturdays during the hours of 8:30am – 1:00pm.
