About the role

Willamette Valley Bank is seeking a detail-oriented individual with critical thinking and decision-making skills for a Relationship Banker position. The right candidate will value integrity and trust whether building relationships in person or over the phone. You will play a critical role in assisting customers as they work towards meeting their financial goals and navigate their unique financial needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve consumer and small business customers by opening new accounts
• Proactively reach out to current customers by phone to deepen existing banking relationships and recommend additional products/services
• Complete documentation required to establish and maintain new accounts
• Process routine financial transactions for customers quickly and accurately (including deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, and cashier’s checks), in compliance with regulations and guidelines
• Work with partners and branch employees to deliver exceptional customer experience
• Perform account maintenance activities
• Partner with other business units in sales and service activities, as appropriate

Qualifications

• Highly developed customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively on a team, as well as self-directed ability to function under limited supervision
• High School diploma or GED required
• 2 or more years of banking experience including business and personal account opening
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or service
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong PC skills (MS Office)
