Reinsurance Analyst | Hybrid

About the role

You will support timely and accurate deliverables of the reinsurance team/division. As part of this role you will collaborate with Product Development, Profitability Management, Finance and External Reinsurers to implement new reinsurance agreements and administer existing agreements. You will report to the Manager of Reinsurance Administration.

Responsibilities

• Reinsurance Administration
  • Identify and cede reinsurance transactions via reinsurance admin systems & manual processes
  • Bill and collect from Reinsurers for routine to complex agreements
  • Provide oversight and support of reinsurance administration systems for monthly processing
• Reporting & Analysis
  • Perform analysis of reinsurance activity for accounting and reporting
  • Support reinsurance audits
• Projects & Initiatives
  • Drive process improvements within immediate team and Reinsurance department
  • Participate in company-wide projects and initiatives as needed
  • Determine requirements, communicate with development team, execute user acceptance testing for reinsurance administration systems
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

Qualifications

• 0-3 years relevant experience, working directly for a life/annuity (re)insurance company, or consulting firm
• Four year degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, SQL

$69,000 - $103,500
