Reinsurance Accountant Sr

About the role

Maintains reinsurance contract files and communicates treaty information.

Coordinates reinsurance audits.

Prepares reinsurance proposals.

Provides reinsurance training and assists with collections upon request.

Responsibilities

• Monitors treaty loss activity and determines appropriate actions/notifications.
• Maintains reinsurance contract files and communicates treaty information.
• Adheres to reinsurance security guidelines.
• Captures and verifies reinsurance accounting activities, including but not limited to reserves, losses, premium, commission, and Loss Adjustment Expenses (LAE).
• Reviews reinsurance contracts to determine coverages, rates, and terms needed for accounting and underwriting purposes.
• Creates standard and ad hoc reports and analyses, presentations and training.

Requirements

Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.

Knowledge of accounting processes.

Experience with financial analysis.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $77,600-$106,700
