Job Summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Reimbursement Director to join their team at Facility CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri. As part of a leading healthcare system serving 25 counties across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas, this role involves preparing internal documentation for Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, performing detailed reviews and analysis of third-party payer reimbursement, and making recommendations for pricing adjustments.

About the Role

The Reimbursement Director reports directly to the VP of Finance and Revenue Cycle and oversees a team of staff members. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, with at least 5 years of accounting or leadership experience. A Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares internal documentation for preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
  • Performs detailed reviews and analysis of third-party payer reimbursement
  • Develops impact analysis of third-party payer changes
  • Analyzes the pricing structure and makes recommendations for tactical pricing adjustments
  • Evaluates and implements a payer contract modeling system
  • Prepares monthly financial statement estimates for valuing the net realizable value of accounts receivable
  • Performs special reimbursement projects as needed
  • Oversight and development of staff supervised by the Reimbursement Director

Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration
  • Required: At least 5 years’ accounting or leadership experience
