Reimbursement Analyst II

This hybrid position offers a balanced schedule of three in-office days at Burlington or Durham, NC, and two remote workdays per week, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Analyze multi-payer reimbursement data to identify variances, denial trends, and revenue risks
- Validate payments against payer contracts, fee schedules, and regulatory requirements
- Investigate and resolve complex payer issues; escalate high-risk concerns as needed
- Manage denials and A/R within assigned payer portfolios to optimize cash flow
- Identify denial root causes and implement corrective actions to improve clean claim rates
- Develop reports and dashboards to support leadership visibility and decision-making
- Ensure compliance with payer contracts, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Drive process improvements to reduce denials and enhance reimbursement accuracy
- Collaborate with billing, coding, finance, and operations to resolve issues and improve workflows
- Monitor and report on KPIs, providing insights to support performance improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ healthcare revenue cycle environment experience, or
- Associate degree with 7 years’ healthcare revenue cycle environment experience, or
- HS diploma or GED with 9 years’ healthcare revenue cycle environment experience

Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle, or financial analysis
- 5+ years of previous experience with data analytics
Schedule
Monday – Friday; 8:00am–5:00pm EST
