Responsibilities
- Performs treatment activities under the direction of a licensed therapist.
- Demonstrates consistent use of good body mechanics while transferring and transporting patients and equipment.
- Ambulates with patients.
- Assists with treatments as instructed by the therapist to include: Continuous Passive Motion, Cryotherapy, Thermotherapy, and exercise.
- Setup and maintain splinting supplies.
- Disinfects and maintains equipment.
- Fills out purchase orders as needed to maintain equipment supplies.
- Completes maintenance requests.
- Performs daily, weekly, monthly checks per policy.
- Performs monthly van check.
- Orients new staff to van policies and procedures.
- Assists with orientation of new Rehab Assistant tasks and responsibilities.
- Assists patients under the direction of the OT/PT/SLP to perform the following: PROM, ADL tasks, group activities, cognitive stimulating activities, community re-entry.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification/Licenses: Current BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- Experience: Experience in healthcare preferred.

- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
