Rehabilitation Specialist
Crisis Residential Program services provide short-term intensive, round-the-clock, personalized support to help stabilize someone having a mental health crisis so they can avoid hospitalization. Our teams collaborate with providers already involved in an individual’s treatment and work to link clients to other services offered by Sheppard Pratt or other community providers.
About the role
This is a direct care opportunity to provide support for mental health treatment. You will provide a safe and therapeutic environment that encourages the overall independence and wellbeing of your clients. Under general supervision, you will develop a rapport with clients, becoming part of their trusted support system and celebrating their progress in recovery.
Responsibilities
- Act as a residential counselor, working one-on-one with clients to learn or regain skills for successful community and independent living and socialization.
- Ensure medication compliance, including responsibility for safety, dosage, and cleanliness.
- Work as part of a collaborative service team to develop and implement individual service plans.
- Provide transportation and attend clients’ medical appointments, offering advocacy services and ensuring follow-up instructions are documented and followed through.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications and trainings as required.
- Driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to an insured vehicle.
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on program needs.
Schedule
Full Time Mornings, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.
Pay
$19.31/hour.
