Responsibilities

• Assists with and performs routine assigned physical and occupational therapy treatments; demonstrating knowledge of treatment goals and precautions in order to assist with or treat patients.
• Follows all safety regulations, protocols, policies and procedures.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Communicates with facility staff.
• Confers with therapists to establish efficient treatment schedules.
• Transports, transfers and facilitates patient care as directed by therapists.
• Prepares patient equipment and supplies for treatment.
• Ensures that all required documentation and required forms are appropriately completed and included in patient charts.
• Contributes to the overall positive image of the organization department.
• Aids in providing appropriate aspects of quality patient care and support services under the direct supervision of licensed therapists.

Qualifications

• High School graduate
• C.N.A License is preferred.
• Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Completion of an on-the-job orientation and training program or demonstrates competency in each of the designated areas.
• Able to move and transfer residents in conjunction with standard treatment and in accordance with orientation and training program.
