Part-time position, 16 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Support the main functions of the therapy department, including:
- Assist in direct patient/resident care as directed and supervised by a therapist.
- Assist in the execution of group therapy programs and/or restorative services.
- Transport patients/residents to and from therapy sessions.
- Maintain a neat and clean rehab office and gym area.
- Assist in the maintenance of therapy equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) and storage.
- Assist in designated auditing programs as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Complete necessary filing as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Assist in scheduling resident treatment sessions and communication of notifications.
- Assist in the setup of DME/equipment for new admissions and ordering necessary equipment prior to discharge.
- Adhere to the center’s infection control policy and all center/company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the rehabilitation team.
- Demonstrate strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and patient conferences as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Rehabilitation Therapy Aide in a skilled nursing facility or related medical facility (preferred).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
