About the role

As a Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS) at Numotion, you will evaluate, recommend, and provide customized Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) to meet the unique needs of clients. This role involves collaborating with clients, families, therapists, and physicians to ensure appropriate equipment is delivered to maximize independence and enhance quality of life. A strong understanding of clinical conditions and extensive knowledge of rehabilitation equipment are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, functional limitations, and mobility goals based on therapist assessment findings and physician orders, including analyzing physical abilities, environmental needs, and lifestyle considerations.
  • Deliver and fit equipment, ensuring functional goals established at the evaluation are met.
  • Collaborate with customers, caregivers, and an interdisciplinary team to recommend appropriate assistive and complex rehab technology equipment.
  • Meet or exceed established productivity goals year over year.
  • Grow and maintain relationships with potential customers and referral sources to optimize business opportunities.
  • Maintain eligibility status with various vendor systems to ensure continuous access to facilities.
  • Stay updated on funding requirements and technological advances within the Rehab Technology industry.
  • Develop and maintain new referral sources.
  • Adhere to Numotion Leadership Principles, ensuring integrity, compliance, and alignment with Numotion’s mission.
  • Maintain confidentiality for employees and customers, comply with policies and federal regulations, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or certification (e.g., occupational therapy, physical therapy, or biomedical engineering).
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Assistive Technology direct customer-related services or a related field.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Attain and apply clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills in analyzing complex mobility issues for individuals with disabilities.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to generate individualized recommendations for CRT equipment.
  • Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid).
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with complex rehabilitation technology.
  • Previous experience selling DME equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects independently.
  • Extensive knowledge of clinical conditions impacting mobility (e.g., spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke).
  • Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices.

Physical Work Requirements

  • Ability to meet essential functions of the position with reasonable accommodations as necessary.
  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers associated with computer equipment.
  • Prolonged periods working at a desk and/or on a computer.
  • Occasional movement and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
