Rehab Tech I

About the Role

As a Rehab Tech, you will assist licensed therapists in providing therapeutic care and support to patients undergoing rehabilitation. You will prepare treatment areas, help patients with exercises and mobility, manage equipment, and maintain a safe and organized clinical environment. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting patient progress and therapist needs are essential.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assistance: Assist the therapist in the treatment of patients, including transfers, transport, and support during therapies. Implement the plan of care under the therapist’s direction, covering patient preparation, gait training, functional training, exercise therapy, and activities of daily living (ADL).
• Cleaning: Keep all treatment areas and equipment clean and orderly. Perform routine housekeeping tasks and maintain cleaning and temperature logs.
• Clerical: Record therapy treatments and patient time accurately on appropriate forms. Manage transmission and receipt of pertinent medical records and perform light clerical duties as required.
• Communication: Encourage, educate, and assist patients to reach their maximum functional level. Ensure confidentiality of all patient information and communicate in a respectful and courteous manner.
• Safety: Demonstrate proper body mechanics when performing tasks and seek assistance when needed. Utilize universal precautions as appropriate.
• Work Behavior: Be responsible, reliable, and honest in all patient care and work ethics. Demonstrate flexibility in job tasks and adhere to all facility and department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED in General Studies (required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification (required within 14 days of hire).

Pay

$15.00 - $19.64 per hour.
