Rehab Tech

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Rehab Tech to join our inpatient therapy team. This position contributes to a safe, motivating, and organized clinical environment for our clients and our team of professional therapists. This is a wonderful opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain experience in a clinical setting. Great position for students looking for observation hours and exposure to a talented team!

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance with physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries and/or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disease
• Making sure the clinic's patients are monitored and supported by the therapist with treatment needs – facilitating a convenient and safe environment while providing excellent customer service
• Aiding in front office tasks which may include greeting patients, answering the telephone, supporting registration, data entry, filing, and patient record upkeep
• Safeguarding and escorting patients from one location to another, if needed
• Continually cleaning and organizing treatment areas and equipment
• Preparing patients, treatment areas, equipment, and supplies such as fitness equipment and linens
• Making inventory of supplies and equipment
• Cleaning work areas and equipment before, during, and after shift
• Facilitating an efficient environment for coworkers

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• A background or interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or physiology
• A CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
• The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
• The ability to lift, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds
• A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• The ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Qualifications

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
