Rehab Support Specialist – JACKSON, TN

General Summary

A nonexempt position responsible for preparing and cleaning treatment areas, procuring and inventorying supplies, transporting, positioning, and generally assisting patients, therapists, and assistants in the successful completion of the treatment plan as assigned by the Director.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for prescribed treatment and assist professional staff with patient treatment.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Communicate with patients, families, significant others, and members of the health‑care team to promote maximum benefits from care.
• Obtain equipment, materials, and supplies from storage areas or the appropriate department and prepare them for use.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Procure and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Perform routine clerical support tasks to support the patient‑care process as assigned.

Requirements

• One year of job‑related experience preferred.
• Experience as a medical assistant is well suited for this work environment.

Pay

$15.50 per hour (nonexempt).

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.

Location: Union City, TN.
