About the role
Registered Nurse responsible for comprehensive resident care in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing residents' health, educational, and environmental needs upon admission and continuously thereafter.
- Communicating significant health changes to the interdisciplinary team (IDT).
- Developing, reviewing, and updating personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Implementing nursing interventions such as medication administration, treatments, and IV therapy safely and accurately.
- Documenting assessments, care plans, and interventions precisely and timely.
- Using critical thinking to respond to changes in resident conditions and notifying physicians using SBARR communication.
- Monitoring care delivery, identifying issues, and engaging in quality improvement processes.
- Providing resident assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and answering call lights.
- Maintaining current knowledge of nursing practices and policies, and completing ongoing education.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program resulting in RN licensure.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within six months).
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, transfer, and move residents safely, with proper techniques and assistance as needed.
- Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and proficiency in electronic and written documentation.
Pay
$29.39 - $48.20 per hour
