Rehab Aide II - OP Physical Therapy - SUPPLEMENTAL DAYS

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach frequently.
• Possesses physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs.
• Must be able to see, hear and speak with or without assistive devices.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds during patient mobility occasionally and 25 pounds or less frequently utilizing proper body mechanics.
• Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.

Qualifications

• Possess or be able to obtain current driver’s license, or be able to provide an acceptable alternative;
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Some college level coursework completed in the medical field;
• Computer literacy skills;
• Medical terminology knowledge (preferred).

Essential Job Functions

• Assists Therapist with patient during evaluations and treatments per direction of primary therapist;
• Prepares and maintains electronic documentation as required for the department in a timely manner, including billing, scheduling, and patient information;
• Maintains equipment needed for patient care per department standards;
• Completes all work in a timely and efficient manner per department standards and guidelines;
• Communicates essential information to primary Therapist and to others within the department to facilitate improved patient care.
