Rehab Aide

Full-time rehab aide position in an outpatient physical therapy setting. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation starts at $18/hour and increases based on experience.

About the Role

Are you passionate about helping patients on their rehabilitation journey? Do you enjoy working in an outpatient physical therapy setting? Come join our team as a rehab aide. In this role, you will assist our therapists in carrying out our rehabilitation procedures and play an integral role in supporting our center operations.

Responsibilities

• Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs, and other equipment appropriate to the facility/department.
• Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces.
• Assists patients in donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department.
• Positions patients in parallel bars and prepares patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment.
• Transports patients to/from therapy as needed.
• Assists therapist with other patient-related treatment activities as appropriate and provides equipment.
• Assists with patient-related activities, including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice Act.
• Maintains the department and department equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performs patient-related tasks assigned by therapist, including but not limited to the duties above.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in an OT Assistant program required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Class E license allowing for the operation of the shuttle bus prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification.
• First aid certification.
• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center.
