Rehab Aide
About the role
The Rehab Aide is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the OT/PT in patient treatment as directed by the therapist
- Supporting overall departmental operations by performing clerical and housekeeping as assigned by the supervisor
- Demonstrating dependability in all areas and performing duties as assigned by the OT/COTA and/or PT/PTA
- Assisting the licensed therapist supervising patients in group settings
Qualifications
- Good general health and emotional stability
- Able to bend, lift or assist with transfers and ambulation
- Adequate physical strength to assist with resistive activities
- On the job training in use of equipment and in departmental methods and procedures
- Dependable, conscientious, and sincere interest
- Ability to relate well to others and work with patients of all ages
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred at selected sites
