Job Summary
Assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment under the direction of the Practice Manager. Performs various cleaning tasks, ensures safety and sanitation, and provides excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Completes general cleaning duties including linen delivery and removal, trash removal, furniture moving, and deep cleaning
- Ensures all tasks are completed safely and in strict adherence to Infection Control
- Fulfills Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Removes trash and places it in appropriate containers throughout the shift and before the end of the shift
- Maintains a safe, clean, and uncontaminated environment by keeping work areas clean, sanitized, and organized
- Knowledge and understanding of all products/chemicals used on a daily basis for assigned areas
- Reports inventory levels and equipment issues to the Management team
- Participates in infection control, departmental training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs
- Provides the highest level of customer service at all times
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Maintenance and/or cleaning experience preferred
- Six months in a healthcare setting preferred
- Attention to detail – meticulous
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment
- Team player – possesses a great attitude
- Safety minded
