Rehab Aide

About the role

As our Rehab Aide, you will provide direct and indirect patient care duties under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, ensuring smooth and efficient treatment of patients. Every day you will assist with patient contact activities, perform support services such as scheduling, filing, stocking supplies, tracking data, equipment maintenance, and cleaning, and assist with treatment set-up and take-down. You will also participate in program development and enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient contact activities under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Perform support services including scheduling, filing, stocking supplies, tracking data, equipment maintenance, and cleaning.
• Assist with treatment set-up and take-down.
• Participate in program development.
• Perform or assure functionally based safe and appropriate treatments/tasks directly supervised by the therapist.
• Recognize changes in patient status and report these to appropriate professional staff in a timely manner.
• Interact with patients and families in a positive, professional manner.
• Clean and maintain equipment, treatment rooms, and other areas per protocols.
• Organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner, including patient care, maintenance, and cleaning responsibilities in a calm, professional manner.
• Inventory supplies by monitoring and stocking exercise and form files and supplies, and advising appropriate personnel of items needed for ordering.

Requirements

• Required High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous OT and PT rehab tech experience in an inpatient and outpatient environment.
• Experience working with orthopedic, neurological, and medical patients.
• Previous medical terminology or background education in a related field.

Pay

$17.00 - $23.25 per hour
