Rehab Aide

About the role

The Rehab Technician is responsible for direct and indirect patient care duties under the direct supervision of a PT, PTA, OT, COTA, TR, or Speech Pathologist. Duties are a combination of direct patient contact activities and support services such as scheduling, filing, stocking supplies, tracking data, equipment maintenance, cleaning, treatment set-up and take-down. The Rehab Tech helps to ensure smooth and efficient treatment of patients under a therapist’s supervision, participates in program development and enhances skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care activities under the supervision of a PT, PTA, OT, COTA, TR, or Speech Pathologist.
• Support services such as scheduling, filing, stocking supplies, tracking data, equipment maintenance, cleaning, treatment set-up and take-down.
• Ensure smooth and efficient treatment of patients under a therapist’s supervision.
• Participate in program development and enhance skills.

Requirements

• Highschool or GED Required
• Previous OT and PT rehab tech experience in an IP and OP environment.
• Experience working with orthopedic, neurological and medical patients.
• Previous medical terminology or background education in related field.

Pay

$17.00 - $23.25 /hour
