Rehab Aide

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs and assists with specific clinical treatment/rehabilitation programs/modalities under direction/supervision of licensed therapist/pathologist.
• Performs and assists with specific clerical duties and projects.
• Maintains security and confidentiality of information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist with meeting the therapy/rehabilitation needs of children with disabilities.
• Requires ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with the treatment team and patient.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards and techniques for therapy/rehabilitation modalities and equipment is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
