About the role
Responsible for providing support services to assist therapists in direct patient care in acute care, sub-acute and/or outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Transporting and/or escorting patients in the clinic areas
- Maintaining equipment and treatment areas
- Ordering of supplies
- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED education
- Must demonstrate competence to provide support rehabilitation services by reason of education, training and experience
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements
- Good interpersonal skills are essential, especially courtesy and cooperation, when interacting with other staff members and patients/families/caregivers
- Must demonstrate ability to handle confidential data discretely and adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations
Skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
