About the Role

Individual contributor responsible for providing day-to-day global regulatory support, execution, and advisement for the successful launch and lifecycle of formulated and hardline/softline consumer products such as home fragrance, personal care, OTC drugs, and accessories. Focus on supporting global franchise partners around the world with product compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Product Compliance Management:
    • Understand and apply global regulations to ensure amenable products.
    • Communicate product and ingredient/formula requirements to appropriate partners.
    • Evaluate and resolve minor product compliance issues with cross-functional partners.
    • Evaluate and raise major issues to manager/supervisor.
  • Product Research and Evaluation:
    • Perform research on regulatory-related topics appropriate to areas of accountability.
    • Provide recommendations and information to supervisor and regulatory teams.
    • Learn and apply regulations and begin to leverage experience in issue management.
    • Develop an understanding of market positioning and ingredient/technology acceptability.
  • Submission and Reporting Management:
    • Assist and be responsible for the design and maintenance of regulatory recordkeeping systems.
    • Organize information, documentation, and databases to ensure completeness and ease of use.
    • Provide metric data for areas of responsibility and tasks.
    • Identify and develop SOPs associated with areas of accountability.
  • Emerging Issues Management / External Monitoring:
    • Maintain awareness and understanding of regulations, industry, and technical issues.
    • Understand emerging technical issues and identify impacts through functional support of sub-brand projects.
    • Communicate developments and relevant information to regulatory and technical teams.
    • Conduct external monitoring, including but not limited to: FDA, Health Canada, EU Cosmetics Regulation, Federal & State legislation, FTC, NAD, Federal Register, International regulations, and emerging issues.
  • Government Agency and Trade Association Management:
    • Participate in trade association activities as identified by supervisor.
    • Supervise government/regulations applicable to their area of accountability.
    • Communicate emerging trade association activities and/or governmental monitoring to the regulatory team.
    • Participate in and organize educational and development activities such as webinars as needed.
  • Talent Management:
    • Assist in onboarding new associates and training cross-functional partners when needed.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of lab or related experience.
  • Familiarity with formulated, hardline, and softline consumer product regulations preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be collaborative, motivated, and adaptable.
  • Excels at managing competing tasks simultaneously without compromising accuracy or attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and preferably SAP system.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, BS/BA, or similar or equivalent experience in a related field.
