About The Role

This role within the Policy Reporting and Proof of Coverage (POC) Department focuses on monitoring the timeliness and accuracy of Workers Compensation data submitted to Regulatory Organizations. Responsibilities include identifying system issues and assisting internal and external customers with policy and POC inquiries.

  • Identify disconnects, omissions, and errors in underwriting issuance and servicing processes to reduce carrier fines and insured penalties.
  • Interpret and disseminate Regulatory requirements/updates and assess their impact on underwriting processes and issuance systems.
  • Recommend and assist in coordinating systems changes to maintain data compliance and quality, including writing, testing, and implementing new or updated requirements.
  • Review underwriting systems to confirm accuracy of submissions and issuances.
  • Facilitate communication, cohesion, and resolution among underwriters, brokers, and insureds, including attending broker meetings as necessary.
  • Research and clear system and state-returned errors from the reporting system in a timely manner by collaborating with internal and external parties.
  • Investigate, identify root causes, and provide solutions for management.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and excellent organizational skills.
  • 1+ year of business experience; insurance experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to streamline and automate existing processes.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide training and guidance.
