Regulatory & Nutrition Specialist

The Research & Development (R&D) team drives innovation, product development, and technological advancements across our juice and beverage portfolio. This role will be part of the Regulatory and Nutrition team within R&D, focusing on managing certification programs for several beverage brands, supporting innovation and launch processes, and assisting with nutrition communication activities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain ingredient information, including certification documentation.
- Manage kosher, organic, non-GMO, and other certifications along with annual renewals.
- Participate in the development and execution of a nutrition communications strategy.
- Assist the department with ad-hoc presentation development and meeting preparation.
- Support the PLM team with PLM systems process development and data management.
- Track and report on projects and metrics.
- Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with US Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada regulations.
- Think strategically to ensure compliance with US and Canadian regulations now and in the future.
Requirements
- BS in Food and Nutrition, Food Science, or a science-related field. Registered dietitian nutritionist is preferred.
- 1-2 years of regulatory and/or nutrition experience, with an interest in learning FDA and Health Canada food and beverage regulations.
- Knowledge of Organic, Kosher, and Non-GMO Project Verified certifications.
- Understanding of GMO and bioengineering regulation in the U.S. and Canada.
- Excellent computer skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks, and work independently.
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet aggressive timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Adobe, SAP-PLM, including working in product specification, regulatory, and/or product lifecycle management software.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be located in Chicago, Illinois or surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
- Willingness to adapt to a blended work environment with 3 days in-office per week.
- Travel up to 10%.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $80,000.
