Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Monitoring & Research
    • Monitor Regulatory Changes: Proactively track and review new laws, regulations, circulars, advisories, and guidelines issued by regulatory bodies.
    • Conduct Regulatory Research: Perform in-depth research on specific compliance issues or regulatory requirements as directed by senior compliance officers or management.
    • Summarize Regulatory Updates: Prepare concise summaries or alerts of significant regulatory changes and their potential impact on the company's operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Regulatory Reporting & Documentation
    • Assist in Regulatory Report Preparation: Gather, validate, and organize data required for the accurate and timely submission of various regulatory reports to the BSP.
    • Maintain Compliance Documentation: Organize and maintain comprehensive records of all compliance-related activities, regulatory correspondence, submitted reports, internal policies, training materials, and audit findings in an organized and accessible manner.
    • Manage Regulatory Correspondence: Receive and track incoming and outgoing correspondence with regulatory bodies and other government agencies, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
  • Policy & Procedure Support
    • Assist in Policy Development/Update: Support the development, review, and update of internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with current regulatory requirements and best practices. This may involve drafting initial versions or consolidating feedback.
  • General Administrative & Ad-hoc Duties
    • Maintain Compliance Databases/Systems: Ensure data accuracy and integrity within compliance management systems or databases.
    • Prepare Presentations: Develop presentations or reports on compliance metrics, initiatives, or findings for various internal stakeholders.
    • Participate in Special Projects: Contribute to ad-hoc compliance projects and initiatives as assigned.

Skills

  • Strong Attention to Detail: Essential for accurate reporting and identifying compliance nuances.

  • Research Skills: Proficiency in finding, understanding, and summarizing complex regulatory information.
  • Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks, documents, and deadlines effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Integrity and Ethical Judgment: Upholding the highest standards of conduct.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Especially Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Basic Understanding of Relevant Regulations: Familiarity with BSP, AMLC, SEC, and NPC regulations is a strong plus.
