About the Role
This is a professional supervisory position accountable for overseeing the inspections, investigations, or audits in which employees may require professional licensure and experience in the professions or businesses regulated. At this level, employees may function as a programmatic, regional, or statewide supervisor.
Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires team members to have the knowledge and skills to perform the work overseen.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision to professional and technical staff
- Apply knowledge of state and federal law, policy, procedures, codes, rules, and regulations of the assigned program
- Understand the objectives, standards, operations, and practices of assigned programs
- Utilize interviewing and investigative techniques
- Interpret, apply, and explain applicable statutes, rules, policies, and procedures
- Compile, present, and interpret reports and related data
- Travel extensively, operate a motor vehicle, and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license
- Meet the physical demands of the position

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of relevant supervisory experience (substitutions may be allowed).
