About the role
The position is responsible for coordinating regulatory activities across Capital Health, including NJ Department of Health, CMS, DNV, and others. It involves preparing for surveys, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting policy implementation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates regulatory surveys and ensures readiness for external agencies like NJ Department of Health, PA Department of Health, and DNV.
- Works collaboratively with department heads to achieve accreditations, certifications, and recertifications.
- Submits Novi Surveys to the Department of Health and maintains compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develops and implements action plans for regulatory non-compliance and submits gap analyses for improvement.
- Coordinates DNV Tracer activity and follows up with reports.
- Supports the Policy, Procedure, and Forms Committee to ensure policies and forms are reviewed and posted.
- Provides consultation to policy owners and users on the implementation, revision, and maintenance of policies.
- Assures validated data submission and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Develops and uses tracking tools to measure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates data collection and submission for the Regulatory Affairs Committee.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science of Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing, Education, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in regulatory affairs.
- Experience working with project management and supporting teams to improve clinical quality and regulatory non-conformances.
- Knowledge of DNV, CMS, and NJ and PA Department of Health standards.
- Ability to access and search standards to assist clinical teams in meeting goals and maintaining compliance.
- Knowledge of quality and performance improvement tools and techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in the use of tracking tools.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse - NJ, Registered Nurse - PA.

- Knowledge of regulatory processes and requirements.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and support various tasks simultaneously.
- Discretion and independent judgment to achieve CH goals and objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
