Regrind Operator - 12 Hour Night Shift

Responsibilities

• Maintain production lines with the correct materials
• Operate and troubleshoot Shredder equipment
• Move work in progress (WIP) to the appropriate bin space while accurately tracking this data
• Complete the powered industrial truck (PIT) safety check sheet
• Change out the lift truck battery as needed
• Auxiliary duties include assisting production associates, Process Coordinators and Production Leads, performing quality checks and reports on materials as directed, assisting in inventory cycle counts when needed, operating and troubleshooting Granulator (continuous line) equipment, operating and troubleshooting Grinder equipment, removing material from remnant rolls, feeding and troubleshooting silos, maintaining and monitoring Bag House equipment, inspecting and ensuring unit efficiency, operating and troubleshooting Roll Un-winder equipment, threading up and operating, working normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times, working overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Able to safely operate a lift truck both loaded and unloaded
• Able to safely operate the battery changing station equipment
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn current computer systems and software
• Able to work without close supervision
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of associates
• Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions
• Able to sit for the majority of a 12 hour shift
• Able to get on and off a lift truck up to 100 times per day
• Meets minimal Shaw vision testing requirements including color blindness
• Tolerant of changes in temperature and humidity
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Capable of head, neck, and body rotation for full visibility of surroundings
• Able to occasionally climb stairs to operate equipment
• Basic reading & writing skills to read & comprehend shipping documents, product numbers, and bin / storage locations
• Successfully completed the written, “hands on” powered industrial truck driving test
• Able to perform basic mathematical tasks

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with powered industrial trucks with an exemplary safety record
• Experience with continuous manufacturing processes

Pay

Pay Rate: $20.56

Schedule

12 Hour Night Shift (Swing Shift): 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
