Job Summary

About the Role

The Registration Specialist assists patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits, collects accurate demographic and insurance information, and handles patient financial obligations. The Registration Specialist II greets and serves patients and internal team members professionally, efficiently, and respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Handle patient financial obligations at the time of service.
• Complete financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes.
• Greet and serve patients and internal team members in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner.
• Travel between sites and work extended hours based on departmental needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Prior registration experience preferred but not required.

• Proficient in using computers and computer systems.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with the public and co-workers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
