Registration Representative I- BMP Airport
About the role
The Registration Representative performs a variety of data entry and general registration functions for outpatient departments in the facility. This role arranges the admission of patients of all ages to the Hospital, acts as a resource in providing all customers with the highest level of service, and enhances the hospital experience for patients, families, and visitors by providing appropriate hospitality and concierge services.
Responsibilities
- Acts as the initial greeter for all patients/visitors entering the facility.
- Completes all registrations in a professional, accurate, and customer-oriented timely manner.
- Obtains information from patient health insurance or managed care identification card.
- Distributes to patients or their representative any required handouts.
- Maintains forms in all printers at all times, which may require lifting or carrying cases of forms.
- Maintains knowledge of all software and hardware computerized equipment.
- May be required to assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
- May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Requirements
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and procedures is necessary. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Must have strong attention to detail and be able to multitask effectively. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and carry cases of forms. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required to travel to other locations.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay
Salary range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
