About the role

The Registration Coordinator plays an essential part in the patient-facing registration experience by providing support and ensuring each patient encounter is positive, professional, and efficient. This role primarily involves creating new registrations and checking patients in for scheduled and walk-in clinical visits across the hospital’s outpatient settings, including Urgent Care, Radiology, and Access Clinic. Support is provided seven days a week during both day and evening hours.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient return visit appointments.
  • Minimize clinic access delays.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and families.
  • Inform and collect signed consent for care.
  • Maintain standards for infection prevention.
  • Establish systems and resources to improve process efficiency and enhance the patient experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service and/or administrative support experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a healthcare setting or related field (preferred).
  • Significant experience working with the general public in a healthcare or customer service environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with other cultures and bilingual skills (preferred).

Pay

Compensation range: $23.15 - $34.73 per hour (based on full-time employment of 2,080 hours per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors, including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
