Registration Clerk, PRN
PRN (as needed) position with 8-10 hour shifts.
About the role
The Registration Clerk provides timely, accurate information and direction to patients and visitors while protecting patients' rights to privacy. Responsibilities include monitoring security of entrance/exit doors, answering phones, performing filing or other unskilled business office functions as directed, and participating in assigned activities. Clerks obtain and collect all patient consent signatures, demographic information, and insurance billing information at the time of registration while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Knowledge of patient registration and health insurance preferred but not required
Skills
- Basic knowledge of computer and related functions
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload amidst frequent interruptions and competing priorities
- Ability to handle conflict in a professional manner while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
