Registration Clerk (Part-time)

The Elmhurst Park District, established in 1920, provides parks, recreation facilities, and programs to enrich lives and foster community engagement. We seek a REGISTRATION CLERK to join our team, offering a dynamic environment where you can contribute to our mission.

About the role

As a REGISTRATION CLERK, you will play a crucial role in assisting current and new program participants in registering for recreational programs and activities. Your responsibilities include:

• Listening to customer inquiries and concerns, either in person or over the phone.
• Aiding customers or directing them to the appropriate manager if necessary.
• Communicating information to other registration/office clerks as needed.
• Processing program registrations and withdrawals.
• Handling pool pass registrations and creating pool pass ID cards.
• Booking field trips and picnic permits.
• Assisting with class cancellations and expansions.
• Maintaining a filing system and an organized workspace.
• Running daily reports for batching out and making daily bank deposits.
• Maintaining cash boxes and safes.

Responsibilities

Current and new program participants will rely on you for assistance in registering for recreational programs and activities. Key tasks include:

• Answering customer questions and concerns.
• Directing customers to the appropriate manager.
• Communicating information to other clerks.
• Processing registrations and withdrawals.
• Managing pool pass registrations and ID card creation.
• Scheduling field trips and picnic permits.
• Handling class cancellations and expansions.
• Maintaining filing systems and workspaces.
• Generating and submitting daily reports.
• Maintaining cash boxes and safes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of customer service experience.
• Be at least 18 years old.

What You’ll Get

• A starting hourly wage of $16.00.
• A pay grade of D with a range of $15.25 - $25.50.

Pay and Schedule

The starting pay for this position is $16.00/hour. Available shifts are Monday-Friday 4:30pm-9:00pm and Saturday-Sunday from 8:00am-3:00pm.
