Role Overview The Registrar I is a PRN position responsible for providing a positive first point of contact for patients and families, ensuring accurate registration and smooth patient experiences. Key Responsibilities Answer phones, greet visitors, and direct inquiries professionally.Register patients by verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information.Verify insurance eligibility, collect signatures, and payments at the point of service.Support financial processes including payment collection, receipts, and reconciliation.Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation compliance.Communicate coverage, co-pays, and balances clearly to patients.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, EMTALA, and regulatory standards.Support additional coverage needs and respond to supervisor feedback. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED.Less than 1 year of clerical or healthcare office experience, with 12 years of customer service preferred.Strong interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with patients, staff, and leadership.Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.Basic computer skills, including keyboarding and 10-key proficiency.Successful completion of EPIC Registration competency following training.Must be at least 18 years old.
