Registrar - Gaithersburg

About the Role
The registrar is responsible for servicing all areas and completing all tasks related to the front desk area of a physician practice. As client-facing professionals, this position plays a key role in representing the practice in the community.
Responsibilities
- Serve patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
- Optimize patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of physician office experience (preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Pay
$17.65 - $22.71 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
