Major Responsibilities
- Organize and implement official registration on a semester basis, under the direction of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for FERPA-related matters, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, institutional policies, and the integrity of student academic records.
- Train faculty and staff in FERPA.
- Implement procedures relating to college policies, e.g., FERPA, academic records, etc.
- Review and certify degree and certificate requirements on applications for graduation to be submitted to the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs for final approval.
- Handle all internal/external communications with post-secondary institutions regarding requests for transcripts or related information about students’ records.
- Maintain all student permanent records files, including upgrading, correction, and deletions.
- Communicate with Department Heads, Advisors, and Department Chairpersons to maintain updated program materials for recruitment and information purposes on program curriculum requirements.
- Manage prerequisite reports and process students to ensure enrollment requirements are met.
- Provide leadership and training to faculty and staff regarding the use of Banner, DARS, and other software used in the registration and records process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, public administration, or data management information systems.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Five years of relevant experience in registrations and/or records.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Substantial experience in automated student record-keeping systems such as Banner.
Pay
Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000/year
