Responsibilities

  • Be a Lifeline for Patients in Crisis: Utilize full skillset in triage, stabilization, patient monitoring, and critical care under veterinarian supervision.
  • Provide Clarity in Critical Moments: Clearly explain treatments, review discharge instructions, and provide reassurance during stressful times.
  • Lead and Elevate Your Team: Guide and support colleagues, ensure smooth workflow, and foster a focused, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Ensure Seamless Care: Maintain clear and accurate record-keeping for patient handoffs, case management, and effective team communication.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing.
  • Calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies.
  • Confidence in handling animals of all temperaments and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure.
  • One year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus!

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive small animal medical services offered across a wide schedule, including Urgent Care available Monday through Saturday from 12 PM to 10 PM.
  • Advanced testing and diagnostics utilized to manage complex cases.
  • Thorough wellness and preventive care, surgical procedures, and advanced care options provided.
  • Specialized certifications in Fear Free and Cat Friendly protocols ensure a welcoming and stress-free environment for patients.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to handle animals of various temperaments and work in a fast-paced environment.
