Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical procedures
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection
- Conduct in-house laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Educate clients on preventative care, medications, and post-treatment instructions
- Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment, surgical, and exam areas
- Support a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credential in Colorado, or ability to obtain licensure
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and patient care
- Experience in anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance preferred
- Excellent communication and client-service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
- Proficiency with veterinary practice management software is a plus
