Registered Veterinary Technician

About the role

Worthington Woods Animal Care Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our fun, hardworking team. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
• Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarians orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Requirements

• 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio

Qualifications

• Dedicated professional who takes pride in their work and seeks to provide a memorable client experience with each appointment
• Strong communicator with a desire to foster lasting relationships with clients, their pets, and other WWACC team members
• Willingness to continually learn, grow, and improve
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Surgical set up and assisting
• Anesthesia maintenance and monitoring
• Inpatient care
• Intubation

Benefits

• Compensation: $25-30 per hour, for each hour worked
• Bonus package: $2,000
• CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Pay

Compensation is $25-30 per hour, for each hour worked. To determine specific pay, the company will consider the applicant's education, training, or experience related to the job position, geographic location where the work is performed, and other relevant factors.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday. This position also requires rotating Saturdays and one Sunday per month.
