Description

Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join their growing team. Tehachapi Premier Place for Pets offers comprehensive veterinary care, including state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical facilities, pet boarding, grooming, and other services.

Job Duties

  • Aid veterinarians in gathering patient histories
  • Establish and implement treatment plans
  • Communicate pertinent information about patient care to clients
  • Maintain hospital and patient cleanliness using aseptic techniques, protective equipment, and isolation protocols
  • Frequently lift and move patients up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Communicate professionally and courteously with employees and clients
  • Pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy in patient care, charge entry, etc.
  • Have knowledge of the hospital's services and species treated
  • Operate equipment, including computers and software
  • Provide client education
  • IV catheter placement / Venipuncture

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Technician experience of 5 years

Compensation

$20-$28/hour based upon experience/skills
