Description
Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join their growing team. Tehachapi Premier Place for Pets offers comprehensive veterinary care, including state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical facilities, pet boarding, grooming, and other services.
Job Duties
- Aid veterinarians in gathering patient histories
- Establish and implement treatment plans
- Communicate pertinent information about patient care to clients
- Maintain hospital and patient cleanliness using aseptic techniques, protective equipment, and isolation protocols
- Frequently lift and move patients up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Communicate professionally and courteously with employees and clients
- Pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy in patient care, charge entry, etc.
- Have knowledge of the hospital's services and species treated
- Operate equipment, including computers and software
- Provide client education
- IV catheter placement / Venipuncture
Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician experience of 5 years
Compensation
$20-$28/hour based upon experience/skills
