The Practice takes a personalized approach to every patient and client, understanding that every pet is unique. Our veterinary team works closely with you to develop a care plan tailored to your pet's specific needs.

We believe in building meaningful relationships with our clients and are excited to welcome new clients and their furry family members. We also foster a close relationship with a local rescue center, All Aboard Animal Rescue, offering medical care to rescue dogs and helping them find their forever families.

Responsibilities

  • Aid veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery, and other tasks as needed.
  • Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams and provide client education.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, monitor vital signs during surgery, obtain and prepare lab samples, perform in-hospital laboratory tests, and administer medications and treatments under the supervision of veterinarians.
  • Clean and straighten exam rooms, treatment, and lab areas; restock exam rooms with supplies.
  • Assist other team members to keep the public areas of the practice clean; clean and maintain all medical equipment.
  • Communicate with veterinarians and practice team members, including client discussions, patient plans, and client concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in the state of desired employment.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications, and basic math for calculating medication dosages.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.

Pay

USD $24.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
