Registered Veterinary Techinican

About the role

Dakota Hills Veterinary Clinic is a professional and progressive 5-doctor small animal practice located in Rapid City, South Dakota. We are currently seeking an additional associate veterinarian to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in examination and development of diagnostic and treatment plans
• Support technicians with sample collection and processing, radiographs, anesthetic monitoring, intravenous catheter placement, surgical preparation and assistance, filling and billing, and care of hospitalized patients during the day and overnight
• Perform orthopedic procedures (CBLO and fracture repair), ultrasound, endoscopy, ligasure, arthroscopy, reproduction, and digital radiography
• Work in various areas including orthopedics, exercise rehabilitation, endoscopy, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, arthroscopy, reproduction, and digital radiography
• Handle emergencies and assist with overnight care of hospitalized patients

Requirements

• Highly motivated
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a progressive environment

Qualifications

• Experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply

Pay

Compensation is based on experience and includes a percentage of gross revenue.

Schedule

We are open six days per week (closed Sunday) and work 18-19 days per month. Early morning, evening, and weekend hours are included, along with holiday rotations.
