Registered Ultrasound Technologist

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound imaging studies in accordance with physician orders and departmental guidelines.
• Prepares and transports patients as necessary.
• Prepares imaging equipment, room, and images, as needed for interpretation.
• Verifies and completes studies in RIS and PACS.
• Maintains Quality Control on Equipment as Instructed.

• Vascular Registry Preferred

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Sonography from an approved program required; OR Associate's Degree in Radiology from an approved program required.
• Experience: Up to one (1) year of experience preferred.
• Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Basic computer skills. Must be able to meet hospital on-call requirements.
• Licenses & Certifications: Registered or Registry eligible in Ultrasound, with the requirement to become Registered within eighteen (18) months. CPR certification required.
