About the Role

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with healthcare teams
• Manage ventilators and perform airway procedures
• Conduct arterial blood gas sampling
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory care practices
• Promote evidence-based practices and ensure accurate documentation
• Uphold patient safety and participate in performance improvement initiatives
• Mentor new employees, students, and peers
• Support invasive and diagnostic procedures
• Adhere to organizational policies

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy
• Certifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, including at least 6 months in critical care
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills
• Ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals
