Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary Medicine

About the role

Night shift, full-time, Registered Respiratory Therapist in Pulmonary Medicine at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. You may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

Responsibilities

• Administers a wide variety of therapeutic services and diagnostic tests to various patient types
• Sets up all equipment/supplies needed and provides assistance to the physicians during special procedures
• Performs assessments and re-assessments of patient history, chest x-rays, vital signs, blood gases, progress notes, etc. in order to determine appropriate therapy modalities/frequencies or effects of conscious sedation and communicates this to the physician (Does not apply to DME)
• Performs arterial punctures or blood gas analysis for arterial blood gases (Does not apply to DME)
• Performs intubation as needed or requested where credentialed and approved by the medical staff (Does not apply to DME)
• Schedules patient appointments for PAP Therapy
• Maintains all necessary documentation and ensures all require documentation is available for PAP Therapy
• Downloads PAP therapy results on a routine basis
• Maintains inventory on all PAP Therapy equipment
• Continues to seek education on all PAP Therapy guideline requirements and changes
• May be required to be on call status

Qualifications

• RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner)
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – Graduates will have 12 months to become registered. If caregiver fails to become registered within 12 months, then caregiver will be moved to CRT position.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
