Responsibilities
- Initiates, assesses and evaluates all forms of respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest physical therapy, oxygen therapy and ventilator care.
- Exercises technical knowledge in respiratory anatomy, physiology and pathology as well as the design and operations of respiratory therapy equipment.
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current RRT/RCP‑State license (Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner)
- Bachelor’s degree, vocational school graduate, or associate degree
