About the role
We are hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our Free Standing Emergency Department in St. Augustine. This is a full-time night shift opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders
- Administering respiratory therapies
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes
- Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) license required
- One of the following certifications required within 6 months of hire:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Certificate required; Associate of Science preferred
